Updates and some New Characters

Hello everyone. As you might've noticed things have slowed a bit with the comic. First my tablet broke, then my eyes went crazy so I needed new glasses and an eye friendly monitor, then I had to find a new tablet and I'm still slowly getting used to it and on the side I'm taking a lot of commissions to help me pay my bills until I get financial support from the state end of September. Oh! And my finger was hurt a full week meaning I could only draw so little... UGH! BUT! I'm still working on it. I started with the coloring but getting in some money is my higher priority at the moment. I hope you understand.

One of my friends and customers payed me to draw my own characters though! The people you see at the top are all characters created for the Sovereigns comic. Let me tell you a bit about each of them:

Arienne is a self-proclaimed prophet. Each night she dreams about an event from a random point in time. Meaning she actually sees what happens but she can't tell if it's past, present or future and it could be any world in the universe which makes it even harder to know when or where her predictions might happen. Needless to say she had many doubters but also surprisingly many followers. She was lucky to live through three fulfilled prophecies which were big enough to convince the masses. Over time however she became mad, crazed by these things pushed into her subconscious and eventually died. There's a statue of her standing on the shore where she first started to preach and her book of dreams or prophecies now is famous across the universe. It's in the possession of her great granddaughter. Note that she has two pupils. A trade mark of her home world. The world is planned to play a bigger role in the later comic.

Kien and Mat are twins and roughly around the age of 20. They come from a town with long winters and from a family of hunters. They both don't like snow however. Kien is the better tracker, while Mat is the better archer. They can both do both but... you know, one's the ace in this and the other in that. The sisters rarely say anything and if they do, they only say what's absolutely necessary. Being twins they often know what the other's thinking, latest when they look at one another. Kien is a bit of a romantic. She loves late summer when the sun light turns into a soft rose shade and the leaves become red. When the girls with their red-ish hair walk around then, they perfectly blend into this warm and beautiful landscape. She's also fascinated by things idly floating on water and doesn't mind sleeping on the ground. Mat is more spoiled in that aspect. She enjoys good food and likes soft beds. She doesn't like night because it obscures her vision which annoys her. She's also a widow. Her husband, also a hunter went after the wrong pray alone and... well... don't think I have to elaborate. The twins have been inseparable ever since - Kien probably feeling responsible to take care of Mat now. They later join Orube in a special task force working for Kandrakar, doing scouting, tracking and escort missions.

Ceridwen is an adoptable I got from :iconkarijin-s-basement: some while back. Here's her original design: www.deviantart.com/karijn-s-ba…
I also drew her once already which you can check out here: www.instagram.com/p/B_AcLztqY6…
She's from Earth but from a minority group that believes in spirit animals which - once connected - grant their bearer one of their powers. The tail on the head of her back is the tail of a civet, which is her spirit animal. It grows out of her hair but naturally she tries to hide it most of the time or make it look like a fashion accessory. She's a sweet girl, bubbly and maybe a bit naive. Easily adored. As for her magic, she has the touch of calm. Meaning through a mere touch she can calm someone down up to the point of leaving them in a state of deep meditation or trance. She uses it mostly to calm her fellow students down after a break up or when they're nervous before an exam. Needless to say though there's also a lot of cases where this backfires and the people are so calm they don't care about anything or half-way sleep and she tries hard to get them back to normal through tickling or scaring them.

Alice! YAY! This time with her hair down. Alice appeared already in the comic on page 7, though I like her a bit better in this picture. Alice Morgan is a very serious girl and someone I'm very fond of. She's somewhere around 15-17 years old though I'm starting to lean towards 17... She has a rather big weight to shoulder that I don't want to talk about just yet. She was also a potential candidate for the guardian team but then switched sides to become evil and then something in-between. XD Her role is not 100% set just yet, though there is one event that always stayed which I don't want to spoiler. Meaning: She will appear again! Anyway, she goes to Duvall College, a fancy rich kids school in Heatherfield meaning her family is rich too. She has an older sister and her parents, all of which are happy and very loving people, sometimes a bit silly. The girl next to her in the comic page 7 is Meredith, her only true friend. They've been friends since kinder garden and Meredith even followed Alice to Duvall College even though she would've preferred another school. Alice has one violet earring and an also violet ribbon with a black stone around her wrist, both of which she never takes off. She's hard to impress and rarely shows any outbursts of emotions whatsoever. She plays lacrosse. Since Alice keeps such a low profile with her emotions, her sister has resorted to writing her letters. On her birthday or... sometimes just randomly with a "what happened to me the past moth" sort of thing. It's her way of staying connected to Alice and reminding her that she loves her and accepts her the way she is. All of these letters can be found neatly tucked away in a special and pretty looking box in the back of Alice's night stand.

More characters are coming up soon. I was thinking about making a section for all these characters here on the website. Maybe I'll do that in a bit.
