Books & Spin-off stories
Drawing a good comic means a lot of effort and work and is something I still need to learn. In comparison, writing is something I've been doing a lot longer and that comes more easily to me. So I've decided to tell side stories that happen during the same time as the events of the comic but aren't necessary for the progression of the main story in written form.
There are a few things planned such as telling the story of Orube and her life on Basiliade once she leaves Heatherfield in the original comics or learning more about Meridian and Elyon's family through the eyes of the young queen. However these are all just that: Ideas.

The Story
In search of the truth behind her parents’ disappearance, Elyon sets out on a thrilling journey into the far reaches of Metamoor, learning more about its history and potential future. Torn between doubts about relative Marzenna, and plaguing dreams of Phobos, Elyon will have to find a way to unite the kingdom under her rule; and discover her own voice as its queen.
About
The second W.i.t.c.h. story is set on Metamoor and will follow Elyon on a quest that will lead her all over the planet in search for answers. After the Halloween story I was thinking about what
to write next and set up different ideas for Metamoor, Basiliade and Kandrakar. The Meridian one came relatively quickly to me, I started writing and before I knew it, I had 40 pages down. The
story is meant to explore the world we got to know from the comic series and specials, expand it fittingly while filling some plot holes here and there. I will attempt to answer some questions,
however this is only my answer / interpretation, how I would write the story.
Concept
The story is a bit like a road-movie. After an intro, we set off with Elyon and get to see all kinds of places, meet all kinds of people across Metamoor, learning about the world, its history and potentials for the future. Elyon is the centre point, her personal arc showing past struggles and fears while finding a way to step up and become the ruler she can be.
Current plan for releases is to bundle around 4 chapters together into parts. Each part will then be made available for download via my Ko-fi. As of right now, it's not planned to draw a cover for each part. Instead there will be some art for the final story, namely a key art in two variations which could serve as a cover as well, a family tree of the Escanors and a full size map of Metamoor to follow along.

The Story
Something's going on in Heatherfield: Strange ghost sightings in the east, a gruesome monster scares customers at the Silver Dragon, a prediction of danger arises and three little lights are after new student Maze. The guardians are needed once more but this time, they will have to find help if they want to survive. A turbulent new adventure full of chills and jeopardy takes its course. Meanwhile, evil schemes in the shadows.
About
Last year I asked all of you to vote for my next Halloween story. At first it was just a story that happened to play in Heatherfield but over time I started to combine it with the story I had originally planned as Issue #02 of the Sovereigns comic. The story only contributed small things to the overall plot of the fan comic and with progress on issue #01 going slow I decided to make it its own thing instead, a spin-off, set somewhere after issue #01. There will be occasional references between this novel and the comic but it should work on its own as well.
Concept
The story is divided into three parts: Dark Night, White Light and Strange Sight. Together they reach a length of roughly 80 A4 pages, while the updated A5 version holds around 200 pages. Part 01 focuses on the W.i.t.c.h. girls and strange events occurring in eastern Heatherfield, leading up to Halloween night where things start taking a serious turn. Part 02 winds back time, introducing Maze and a second threat, three little lights that you really don't want to mess with, seeing his side of the story unfold until his encounter with W.i.t.c.h.. Part 03 finally plays out the Halloween night, bringing both parts together and showing how W.i.t.c.h., Maze and his aunt Lisa struggle to keep both the little lights and shadowy monsters at bay. The entire novel is framed with a Prologue, Interlude and Epilogue which function as the narrator, telling the story out as we read along.

Basiliade Spin-off

About
This story is still in the idea and concept stage so there isn't much to tell just yet. Again, I want to provide a wider look at the world of Basiliade with its tribal society and strong Asian
inspiration regarding designs and mindsets. Current idea for a story is as follows:
Strange orrurences are happening around a newly formed sect and so a colourful band of heroes will have to overcome their tribal differences to solve the case.
