Will lineart from page 8. Simple but I'm still happy how it turned out. This was the last thing I worked on that day.

Marzenna! Still love this girl! She's related to the Escanors and I really, really want to tell her story but not sure when I can best do that.

Dropped ideas or currently not used

Another idea. I'm really hooked with this particular pattern on the floor. It's seen in the comics multiple times though nobody notices. I decided against it for the first issue but might use this for a later one as a cover or poster.

The Heart of Kandrakar! Yey! Another idea that I decided against because... well the protagonists were missing. Might use this for a Kandrakar special or info comic issue or Artbook or... just something else.

Here we go! First draft of the final issue. This particular version seemed more like a poster for the entire first Arc so I changed the scene to Heatherfield. There's a little catch with this one but I don't want to spoiler. ;)

A set of new uniforms I designed BEFORE starting the comic project, however I considered using them as a new transformation. Dropped these because they lacked the magical vibe of W.i.t.c.h.

The second set was based on the first. The colour scheme is leaned on the colours of Kandrakar under Yan Lin which has a lot of blues instead of green and turquoise. Decided against these outfits on the long run though I'm still fond of the wings

Test sketch for Will's outfit before I dropped it. This was to test the design outside of the design sheet. After dropping the outfit, I finished this picture with Will in her first transformation.

Yep, I also considered changing the Heart of Kandrakar. This was a design sheet for a possible new design for the Heart. After a short while I decided against it though so... off you go to the "bin".

I really like this sketch a lot even though I dropped the outfit. Taranee and Will's outfits were my absolute favorites and I still think they work nicely but I couldn't find matching ones for the other girls so I dropped the whole line.

Rough doodles for the Irma feature. I just loved seeing her dance and sing through the streets! But... 2 pages with just that might be unsatisfying for those who voted for Irma, so I cancelled most of these panels. Still was fun drawing them!

This is what my first comic layouts look like. All of them. They're usually about the size of 2 paperclips and help me think through the positioning of panels.

Some dropped characters. Kaira loves cosplay and is best friends with Iglika who's into sci-fi games. Iglika was a potential new keeper until I cut her out. Trinity too was planned to become a guardian but didn't fit well with the rest of the gang.
