It's been a while! Sorry for that. This year is really somethin'. I broke my leg about 2 months ago and was busy recovering and moping and cursing my luck. Mostly because we had to drop our three weeks trip to Japan because of it. The trip we've been looking forward to the entire year. The trip that was our silver lining in otherwise quite troubled and stressful times. It really sucked. We're trying to book new flights, but let's just see how it goes. I'm back working on the comic! Wohoo! If you remember the last blog entry, I was having issues with motivation for a longer time that finally cumulated into a serious art block. But then sometime a week ago I suddenly found my muse again and had a creative burst! So firstly I went back to working on the next comic page. I had already prepared most of it, drafted it out and stuff but there is one really difficult panel in there that is... quite special. I've never done anything like it before...

I wish I had amazing news like... that I have the next comic page ready or... any kind of art really. The fact that it took me so long to even write this update is quite telling. I just heard today that there's going to be an official W.i.t.c.h. reboot! The graphic novel will be more in Manga style as we can already see in this cover preview, and will be set in modern times to attract the current young readers. The story is leaning on the official comic series but will incorporate new things as well as far as I understand it. The comic is launching in Italy this Ocotber. Page 17 is finally here! I'm relieved that I managed to get it done before my wedding. I had hoped I would, but for a time it didn't seem like that would work out. Anyway! It did! So... yay! I was a bit more experimental with this one and for some reason I thought it would be a super simple page. Mostly because the colour scheme is a simple one.
